QUALITIES OF A GOOD LEADER IN DEMOCRACY

Democracy is the rule of the people, by the people and for the people. In a democratic government it is essential that the leaders should be selfless, straight- forward, sympathetic towards the poor and above all have a strong sense of patriotism and have a statesman like foresight. A leader is judged by his stern integrity and not by his speeches.

গণতন্ত্র হচ্ছে জনগণের জন্য জনগণের দ্বারা পরিচালিত সরকার। গণতান্ত্রিক রাষ্ট্রে একজন নেতাকে নিঃস্বার্থ, সৎ, গরীবদের প্রতি সহানুভূতিসম্পন্ন এবং সর্বোপরি দেশপ্রেমের তীব্র অনুভূতি সম্পন্ন এবং রাষ্ট্রনায়কসুলভ দূরদৃষ্টির অধিকারী হতে হবে। একজন নেতাকে তার কথার চাইতে তার চারিত্রিক বৈশিষ্ট্য দ্বারা বিচার করা উচিত।
