Aristotle argued that the sword can only destroy but the pen can both destroy and create. The sword symbolizes brutal force, whereas pen stands for noble thoughts and ideas of superior men. It is reason and ideas of man that rise him above the animals. Pen is the vehicle of thought by which man rose to the pinnacle of glory and success, by unlocking what is right and beautiful.
কলম ও তরবারীর ভূমিকাঃ
এ্যারিস্টটল যুক্তি দেখিয়েছেন যে তরবারী শুধু ধ্বংসযজ্ঞ ঘটাতে পারে কিন্তু কলম ধ্বংস ও সৃষ্টি উভয়ই করতে পারে। তরবারী পাশবিক শক্তির নিদর্শক। অন্যদিকে কলম মহৎ চিন্তা এবং আদর্শ লোকেদের আদর্শের প্রতীক। মানুষের বুদ্ধি ও ধারণা তাকে অন্যান্য পশু হতে উচ্চতর করেছে। কলম চিন্তার পরিবাহক যা দ্বারা মানুষ মহিমার ও সফরতার চূড়ায় পৌঁছেছে এবং যা তাকে সত্য সৌন্দর্য উদঘাটনে সহায়তা করেছে।
