BENGAL IS LOSING HER TRADITIONAL CULTURE

The rich cultural heritage of Bengal is gradually dying out because of foreign invasions. The cosmopolitan culture of cities that gave rise to the growth of literacy and money economy is another factor to push back the original rich culture in Bengal. A farmer`s son is swayed by this cultural aggression. He now wants English education and fashion to flower to manhood in such borrowed culture.

বাংলাদেশের আবহমান সংস্কৃতির বিনাশঃ

বৈদেশিক আগ্রাসনের ফলে বাংলাদেশের সমৃদ্ধ সংস্কৃতির উত্তরাধিকার ক্রমান্বয়ে বিলীন হয়ে যাচ্ছে। এ দেশের নিজস্ব সমৃদ্ধ সংস্কৃতিকে পিছনে ঠেলে দিচ্ছে শহরের বিশ্বজনীন সংস্কৃতি যার প্রভাবে শিক্ষার বিস্তার এবং পুঁজিবাদী অর্থনীতির বিকাশ ঘটছে। এই সাংস্কৃতিক আগ্রাসন কৃষকের ছেলের মনে দোলা দিয়েছে। এর ফলে এই ধার করা সংস্কৃতির মাঝে মানুষ হওয়ার জন্য সে এখন ইংরেজি শিক্ষা অর্জন করতে চায় এবং ইংরেজদের জীবন- প্রণালী অবলম্বন  করতে চায়।
